After searching for a unique birthday shirt for her daughter’s first birthday with no luck, JoAnne Mantz
decided to create one herself. Friends immediately wanted her creations for their children too, and, by word
of mouth, hundreds were sold! The birthday shirts and diaper covers were introduced to the public and have
now grown to include over 700 stores, a celebrity following and an international presence.
SmarteePants is a sister company of Mama Bebe & Co., a seller of fine gifts created especially for those with
babies in their lives. Mama Bebe & Co. and Smartee Pants have been featured in magazines throughout the
country, including Parents and Baby Talk.
Today the line has expanded from baby clothes to everyday fun items for toddlers, teens, women and
even moms-to-be. In 2007, personalized pillows, bibs and tees have hit high demand. All Smartee Pants
items are not only great apparel, but fabulous gifts too.
Inspired by everyday parenting trials and tribulations and the ability to laugh at these challenges, we are
constantly adding new designs and sayings…as Moms ourselves we get lots of “Ah-Hah!” moments that
